Gmail is not connected

Open your AI host’s Apps or Connectors settings, connect Gmail, then return to a new ApplyCairn task and run the tracker update again. Your local records remain saved.

start does not respond

Confirm ApplyCairn is enabled, open a new task, and type start again. Do not reinstall first.

No daily update arrived

Check the host schedule receipt, keep the desktop app and computer available, then run the daily workflow manually once. A partial failure should show what completed.

Before you install

ApplyCairn runs inside a supported Codex or Claude desktop host and stores the workspace in a folder you choose. You do not need a separate model API key. Gmail is optional and must be connected through the host; LinkedIn is not connected, scraped, or used for automated messaging. Daily follow-through is host-scheduled and requires the desktop app and computer to be available.

Codex desktop

Add scumunna/applycairn-releases as a GitHub plugin marketplace, install ApplyCairn from Plugins, open a new task, and type start.

Claude Desktop

Open the Releases page in the official repository, download the current ApplyCairn .mcpb package, and open it with Claude Desktop. Choose a data folder you control when prompted.

Check the publisher

ApplyCairn is proprietary software created and published by ApplyCairn. The public repository contains the installable runtime, not the private development source. Do not install repackaged or rebranded copies.

Start

Open a new conversation, type start, and choose what brings you here: document your work, prepare for a review or promotion, grow intentionally, explore a transition, or actively find a role. A resume is optional. ApplyCairn keeps your canonical career story in a location you control. An eligible AI host account is required.

If something goes wrong

If start does not respond, confirm the plugin is enabled and open a new task. If Gmail is missing, reconnect it in the AI host's account or connector settings; ApplyCairn cannot create that authorization for you. If a daily update does not arrive, confirm the host schedule receipt and leave the computer and desktop app available. For installation or privacy help, use the official support issue form and never attach your resume, email contents, tokens, or a complete workspace export.
